TERROR by Vehicles/Drivers in Mumbai.

Citizens must correct following  ...

1.  Licence/Permit given without testing on "simulator" for Responsibility Consideration Awareness and Capability. 

2.  Driving on wrong side for turns parking entry. 

3.  Reversing in lane in fast traffic disturbing all. 

4.  Crossing/stopping on Double Line divider lines. 

5. Stopping on Pedestrian Crossing n ignoring Pedestrian crossing Lights. 

6. Jumping RedLight even from wrong side of road. 

7. Obstructing Pedestrians at Junctions terrorising them. 

8. Violence on Traffic Police Wardens, ROAD RAGE, using Mobile  Video Loud Music while Driving, over use of Horn.

9. Triple Parking on Road, obstructing all Vehicles and Pedestrians. 

10. Driving on Sidewalk, overtaking from left at Bus Stop and Building Entrence. 

11. Building Gates opening on Sidewalk obstructing citizens, damaging sidewalk level to accommodate building Entrence level. 

12. Vehicles entering/leaving Building gate without any care for pedestrian.

13. Taxis Rickshaws blocking BusStop and group parking at Junctions for washing repairs Lunch breaks etc.

14. Inadequate of Traffic Signs, Boards & Local Language and IGNORENCE of same.

SOLUTION ...  ten to twenty year plan ...

DROUGHT IN MAHARASHTRA.

Winter is not over and ~10,000 villages are declared "drought affected".  How many more before the next monsoon?  How will Govt and Citizens manage the situation, for many of the123 million population, with no drinking water for human and animal.  Yes, we Citizens must PARTICIPATE and be ACCOUNTABLE in this tragedy. 

A simple TEANSPARENT, DECENTRALIZED solution having INTEGRITY is practical and possible. I for one have reverted to ideas from  my youth for bathing.  Sixty years ago, we all took bath from a Bucket with a Tumbler. Hot water was added to the cold water in the bucket. One bucket was sufficient for a Kid and TWO BUCKETS for an Adult. Toilet too needed a half bucket or just a Tumbler for urine.

The current trend of overhead/hand Shower (or Tub),  costs an adult,  SIX buckets for a quick 1:20 min before Soap and 1:40 min after Soap shower.   Thoughtless WASTERS may need 10 min Shower, or 20 buckets for a bath.  Tub users may waste 30 buckets or more.  The Toilet Flush button costs 1bucket or more for each use. 

The extra FOUR buckets (15 Liters each), could serve the entire water needs (cooking and drinking), of a drought hit FAMILY of 5, for TWO DAYS. 

THINK ABOUT THIS AND ACT NOW, ITS YOUR PARTICIPATION AND ACCOUNTABILITY.  MILLIONS in my Maharashtra, will desert their Homes/Lands and invade Towns and Cities, live as beggers, while Animals will die in their millions  in the Villages. Humans will despise Humans, while some will ignore this drought and continue like nothing happened.

Traditional Foods of Bharat.

The influx of foreign Corporations, bringing in or manufacturing in Bharat, new edible packaged products, most with strange additives, preservatives, taste-color-smell enhancers, getting FSSAI approval on questionable batch quality, is a serious matter for health and well being of youth and for TRADITIONAL FOODS.  

The attractive promotion, marketing methods and easy availability makes these products seem the right thing to the youth and kids.  When deeper analysis is done and the downside of these products gets exposed, new labels like Junk Food, High in Fat and Sugar, poor food value, are used to dissuade young and old from consuming these products. 

It is therefore important to counter this onslaught by presenting alternative wholesome food items which have stood the test of local evolution and time in various regions of our vast Bharat. NGOs and Agencies could seek global patents and copyright for most with support from concerned experts.  

It is proposed that we list out traditional and safe items with their constituents, making processes, region of use, pictures, etc so a Manual gets prepared.  Emphasis must be on items that can be stored for a week or more, preferably without refrigeration or added chemicals, and which allow localisation in making.  One must note that most preservatives used traditionally are: dehydration and sanitisation in sunlight, salt, oil, common spices, clean containers, dry air storage, and the like.  

The traditional products may be classified as:  Condiments and Preserves, Savories, Sweets, Main eatables, Drinks, Chutnies (dry and wet), Others.  These could be organised for various regions of Bharat, such as: Himachal, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra, TamilNadu, Kerala, Bengal, Assam, etc. Each item must have related appendix with maximum details on constituents and sources, pictures, recipe and detailed process, equipment, quality checks, taste leads, storage details, usage conditions and usage life.  Suggestions on accompanying items too may be suggested for a balanced meal.  A bibliography for reference would be good. A reference guide for words too will be needed. A superficial google search shows lots of data on traditional foods state vise, but details needed for our purpose are listed below. 

A website with registered participants and  Wikipedia type revised reports will encourage our Citizens to participate.  A multilingual support for a few languages, with a qualified editorial board consisting of expert regional Chefs, will help develop the website.  A legal cell to guide global registration is also recommended.  Note this whole exercise has limited scope for governmental agencies, except as source for guidance at a later stage when the website lists one hundred key items, edited multiple times, over atleast one year. Help to promote concept and website by popular media is needed to attract participants.  

I request expert help in putting up a spreadsheet as an initial exercise for populating the cells.

Priority Card for Citizen nurturg 100 trees each year. 

Schools must teach:  Ground Water Charging,  Water recycling
Conserving Water &  Resources

Severe penalty for anyone failing implementation or obstructing process 

Nation / Society must give higher STATUS to Citizen nurturing TREES than to those building managing traditional Temples and places of worship.  

Understand why ancients worshiped Nature. 
Let our religious heads and leaders deify a Tree God-dess and a Rivers Cleanliness God-dess who will be worshipped as per new tradition, to create and nurture Trees, Cleanliness and Rivers.  Let us debate this aspect nationally and promote right things for Mother Earth ... our only home.

UNITED WE FALL DIVIDED WE RULE -KASHMIR “AAZAADI”

I attended “Kashmir Students’ Conference”, organised by Muslim Rashtriya Munch.There, one argument ensued with a muslim youth who asked me why india does not fulfil promise of plebiscite, given by Nehru. I said ok, I am with you let’s do plebiscite, what do you want he goes we need independence from India. “We want Azzadi” I said fine, you need independence as a muslim , but I as Hindu do not want that, then what is the way out, He said we must go by majority.

Fine, said I, let’s divide Kashmir into two parts one for Kashmiri Muslims and another for Kashmiri Hindus (Kashmiri Pandit’s). He goes red faced and said why should we divide it, you are in minority and you must go by majority.

I said , why did we divided India in 1947, when Muslims were in minority in India. If the minority demand to divide India, was acceded to, then, it should be acceded to, now in the case of Kashmir as well.

He went speechless…..

I said Kashmir is already dived into two, one is with India, and the ther part is POK, let all Muslims who want independence go to that part of Kashmir, which you rightly call as Azad Kashmir, as you want Azadi, go and demand independence there from Pakistan and leave the Indian part of Kashmir for Hindus only, at least let this division be complete. 

After hearing this logic they left the place.

Bharat - China commonality.

Both face common issues which overshadow: territorial conflicts, trade wars, NSG admission and international naming of terrorists and, above all, by media hype.  

Unprecedented air pollution, life-threatening climate change, resource-draining energy dependence, restless youth, serious unemployment, fast-urbanising population, the eroding agricultural base and terrorism are the common challenges that the two largest- and fastest-growing countries have to face squarely.  

BRICS platform -- which is neither regional, nor economic and represents 40 per cent of world population and 25 per cent of world's GDP will be the way to go. Both nations are already collaborating on many of above issues, and need to stop contentious issues.  Failure means global destruction.

YOUTH EVOLUTION IN BHARAT.

Above appeared in the  Hindustan Times, Mumbai edition, on this 23rd October 2017, highlighted on page 03.  

There are many such VIOLENT attacks, reported daily in most newspapers, TV News Channels, TV talk shows, discussed in your friend circles at work and home zones.  There are also instances of LACK of ACCOUNTABILITY when accidents or crimes are in process of being commited. People pause to watch the disaster, even take videos, call out suggestions, but fail to act to mitigate and help the VICTIMS. Our CULTURE has taken a severe beating instead. 

It is my submission that, most such incidents have a common thread running behind them.  This is action of misguided YOUTH who lack Training ≥ Skilling ≥ Jobs ≥ Home ≥ Family ≥ Wife.

They easily take to Alcohol+Drugs+Crime+Violence and get BAIL to repeat worse offenses, finally end up in JAIL, where we, the law abiding and productive Citizens, subsidise their costs. 

Its almost like a factory production line these past few years, all over my Bharat, that Youth supposed to grant the nation a Demographic Dividend, add to JAILS, instead of the GDP.   If this new BJP Govt creates conditions for, Affordable≥ Accessible≥ Available:  Skilling and Jobs as PROMISED, OneMillion each month, in three years, 3.6Cr families would be working to take my Bharat to top of the world.  Added benefit would be reduced Crime, more Humane behaviour, more circulation of Money, higher economic growth.  

So what is this SKILLING, EDUCATION, TRAINING that can make JOBS productive for my Bharat?  

One must start with BASIC EDUCATION THROUGH SCHOOLING to preferably 10th grade or atleast 08th grade. The LEARNING should cover:  Reading, Writing, Communicating in two languages at a simple level, basic arithmetic sciences and computer use, low level general knowledge, civic sense and discipline, most important ability to understand a plan of action for implementation. By now, the Youth will be about 14 to17 years of age, on way to ADULTHOOD.  

It is at this point where Govt must POUR money for fascilities to be set up in each MLA constituency for SKILLING.  In fact substantial part of MLA LAD funds could be diverted for this nation building activity. Results will be seen in five years and serious dividend will be recieved by nation in ten years through Demographic Dividend. 

Subjects covered would be: 

1.  Social Skills covering, the second last para above. These have to be honed to allow entrepreneurship for Micro Business at a later date. Must include social graces in communication tools, document and sample filing-retrieving for digital physical and oral modes.  Use of advanced SmartPhones with various Applications including Search, Maps, Navigation, Camera, photo editing, sound-video recording, documentation, etc. Procuring Driving License for two/three/four wheeler.  

2.  Simple Accountancy, Banking, Budgeting, Computer usage for text, spreadsheet, tables, line drawing and printing. Obtaining personal identification such as: Voter Card, Aadhar Card, Bank account with Debit card, BHIM/RuPay Card. 

3.  Workshop skills covering fundamental Carpentry, Metal working, Plumbing, Electrical circuitry for wiring switches gadgets, sewing machines of many types, masonery with use of simple construction material, basic mechanised tools covering all of above. Simple civil-mechanical drawing with Elevation Plan Section and Isometric views. 

4.  Fundamental FirstAid, ER and Nursing skills, physiotherapy, human biology and functions of organs and simple medications use.
              Skills for: Deep home/office cleaning, home/office painting,  home/office delivery skills, basic home cooking skills, aged person assistance. These low skills pay well too if good results can be demonstrated to customers. 

5.  Purchase and Selling methods and elaborate practice in real situation. 

6.  Learning on basic Civil Criminal Economic Laws governing Micro and Small business at National and State level. 

7.  Detailed Govt information on Local business and entrepreneurship facilities with weekly two hour visits to local Industry, factories, workshops, clinics, hospitals,  offices, supplemented by two hour films for above sites, followed by debates by students. 

8.  Information on Research and Development facilities in the State Universities and Entities. Same for Consultancies and Guides. 

These Learnings must be at Three levels to cover ... 

Primary, Secondary and Final for six months each, on six days week. Choice of subjects must be mentored after extended multiple interviews. Authenticated Certificates must be issued on successful end of each level. Objective online written tests followed by personal oral interview will determine grade of 'A' or 'B'. 

Need based hostel accomodation, low interest loan to cover fees and costs. Govt push for ALL OF ABOVE. The advantage of this is chances of reversal is low and evolution to higher performance is almost certain.  It is expected that my Bharat will focus on TRAINERS AND TRAINING of our Youth.  

WHERE IS MY BHARAT

Where is my Bharat? I look for it everywhere.
Social exchanges do not have any reference to it. My heart cries out for Bharat also called India. Dear reader, do you know of it?
I only hear of:
Region Religion Language Caste Gender
प्रान्त धर्म भाषा जात लिंग.
Can we REMOVE these words and associated negative phrases from our dictionary, call them 'banned words' like in primary school, where some words are not used.
Yes, all of humanity are migrants, from the past tens of thousand years. Earth is our ONLY HOME.
It is insatiable GREED, that arises from rampant consumerism, that has caused us to use these words to dislike and isolate the OTHER, who came after us.
Let us control our: आशा  विचार  इच्छा; in order to evolve to higher level.
Remember, Bharat has WELCOMED the OTHER for past thousands of years and ABSORBED them into mainstream life as citizen-नागरिक.
If the Other causes hate, disruption, crime, violence, by all means remove then, ban them, evict them. If not, love them.
Let's say ONE INDIA - CLEAN INDIA.

WHO IS DALIT OR BACKWARD CASTE IN BHARAT.

In ancient times Caste was determined by activity and type of work done.  One could change work and status based on effort and training-education-skilling.  Birth determining Caste was an abberation, yet many instances of change in Caste or duties is well illustrated in our Puraan. 

Those who today put in the effort and obtain training,  experience and skills cannot keep saying they belong to an inferior Caste.  As Humans EVOLVE, so does perceived Caste.  Modern times exhibit Profession as Caste of ancient times.  Bharat needs to change mindset and understand that low Caste being called a Dalit is not a PERMANANT LABEL. Most have evolved thru self effort and upgraded themselves, often with a little help from State and Private facilities.  However, some insist on looking backward to their earlier status as though it can be PERMANANT, probably hoping for more subsidies or political milage.  A college kid cannot keep acting as though in fourth grade at school. 

The reverse, that is devolution, is also possible, where some reduce their status by indulging in heinous activities. These will certainly devolve to lower Caste.  They will lose Status in society and may even do time in Jail.  They thereby, certainly lose their earlier upper status or Caste and society sees them as low status, avoided by most.  

Bharat needs to continue providing facilities for those who strive to evolve and upgrade themselves without sticking to ancient labels which have no meaning today.  Those who want to hang on to old labels must recognise the disservice they cause to the upgraded citizens and abandon their positions and labels of Caste.  Failure means that old labels population will keep increasing due to new entrants who have devolved.  This goes against laws of Nature. Unseemly competition among the so called Low Caste/Status persons will result in serious conflict for largess by Society and Government. 

A Shudra becomes a Kshatriya by self effort and/or assistance from Govt or Society.  Modern Society must then accept the new Status without trumpeting the previous Status for any reason.  The only rule of Creation is to EVOLVE.  JaiHind!

Cosmological Inflation Theory - a review.

Inflation Theory (Cosmological), promotes idea that Humans are lucky that our current Universe has all the RIGHT Physical, Chemical and Mathematical Constants that make life as we know it possible. Even a microscopic change in any of the Constants would have rendered Human Life or even Bacterial life impossible.

The reality is that EVOLUTION chooses by elimination, that life form, which is most suited for the given environment. Implied their in, the given set of Constants will promote some life forms, however bizarre we may imagine them, then evolution and elimination will allow the most suitable to evlove further. Possibly, intelligent life form may evolve in one or more of the infinite possible MultiVerses that Creation permits.

Our limited self-centric view point causes some of us to imagine that another set of Constants will permanently prevent any Life, intelligent or otherwise. Let us adapt to the view that all Creation is always evolving in an infinite cycle of Inflation and Deflation with Life as an essential outcome. This is my meditative thought. 

Needed Skills for Leadership.

Vande Matarum!  Highly skilled and capable persons, driven by passion, seek to retain Leadership position in their chosen field. Very few make it to the top and give satisfaction to the leadership seeker. Often the reason for slipping at the last step comes from a lack of certain skills which are often found in plenty in those at the bottom. 

A quick study of key stories from our ancient  Purana  known as: Mahabharat, will give great clarity. During the time of banishment to the forest for 13 years, Bhim, Arjun and Yudhistir had key experiences which explain my point on missing skills. 

Bhim, the invincible in strength, fails to move even the tail of an old monkey blocking his path in a forest.  The world's strongest man is shocked till the old monkey discloses that he  is actually Bhims' older brother Hanuman, come to share certain combat tricks.  A simple lesson in HUMILITY and not pre-judging others on basis of known standards. 

Similarly, Arjun suffers defeat in a bow-arrow battle with an apparent forest dweller, who turns out to be the great Shiva in disguise. Same lesson in not pre-judging others on basis of known standards and learning humility in inter-personal relationships. 

There is the case of Yudhistir and his meeting an Yaksh owning a pool of water.  Extreme thirst causes four brothers to fall seemingly dead when Yudhistir  after slow and much clever thinking, decides to first answer the devine Yaksh disguised as a Crane.  The success of Yudhistir in satisfying the Yaksh, causes the latter to  allow Yudhistir freedom plus the life of one brother. Here Yudhistir chooses not the most able brother but a step brother Nakul, to ensure his step mother too has one son left alive. This skill of BALANCEING opposing interests amazes the devine being who then revives all brothers.  

The lessons of TTT or Tendency to Take Time, Humility before seeming Inferiors and, Balancing Multiple Interests, prove the neccessary qualities of GREAT LEADERSHIP.  How often, even highly qualified persons make great haste in reaching decisions, neglect to understand and listen to juniors and worse, fail to seek balance of conflicting conditions. This leads to failures in the long term and frustration in the presumed leaders. Beware ... Those that seek to retain the top status must integrate these skills in their daily interactions and decision making.  JaiHind! 

USELESS RESEARCH

 

I am disturbed by this RESEARCH from University Funds, which instead of RESTORING BALANCE, HARMONY RYTHEM IN ORGANISED CREATION-NATURE, only makes things worse.  Please see attached news repoerts from IndainExpressMumbai and also from InternationalNewYorkTimes of recent dates.

"Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory", Columbia University, NY, USA ...

Their scientists have done research on Carbon Capture & Sequestration (CCS) and have succeeded in a pilot project that uses 25Tonnes of water with 1Tonne of CarbonDioxide and injects this acidic mixture deep underground into Basaltic rock rich in Calcium. The fairly quick reaction (two years for the pilot), forms Calcite or CalciumCarbide complex. The news is reported in the International New York Times of 10June2016 on page-14.  It is hoped that major projects could use sea water and reduce the CO2 content in the atmosphere, thereby reducing this 'GreenHouseGas' which causes GlobalWarming and its associated disaster for all living organism including primarily Humans.

Similarly, scientists from Southhampton University, Britain are working on a  similar project in Iceland. They are working on plans to sequester the 37 billion tonnes per year of CO2 released by humans.

I am amazed and astounded.  All Creation and Nature, is inherrantly ORGANISED, BALANCED, HARMONIUS AND IN RYTHEM.  Its us Humams who arrogantly keep disturbing this Organised Balance and Harmony.  Then to restore the lost Balance we keep further disturbing same.

Lets look at what Nature is doing. Trees trap Carbon in cellulose and this is done for FREE without Research and funding and PhDs. The trees fall and get buried over time and due to movement in Earths' crust. The CCS process occurs NATURALLY over long spans of time, mostly millions of years.  Humans dig out the COAL and CRUDE OIL, and burn it in a hurry, mostly centuries. Now if we focus on planting FREE TREES, cut and bury them in the exhausted COAL MINES, we could hurry the CCS a bit. All this needs negligible RESEARCH AND FUNDING.  The areas where trees are cut could be sequentially replanted. Millions of tonnes eqivalent trees could be planted each year, and then buried after five years, in multiple locations annually.

Each nation could be given targets for this process depending on their own contribution to the Carbon problem. Coal exporting nations have benefited from income and must now invest in Nature too. Coal consuming nations have benefited and must also invest in Nature. Simultaneously, Humans must quickly switch to alternative energy sources such as Solar, Wind, GeoThermal, Wind, Tides.

The new pilot plants disturb deep rock strata with unknown future consequences, same as shale oil extraction and even StripMining.

So I am amazed, that this natural solution (needs to be refined no doubt), does not occur to our big brains. 

WHY DO THESE WORTHIES KEEP ON DISTURBING BALANCE, HARMONY AND ORGANIZATION IN CREATION-NATURE.     

PLEASE STOP, EARTH IS OUR ONLY KNOWN HOME.

CURRENT FOCUS FOR #AAP-KARYAKARTA.

#AAP needs to be proactive as its leadership is already doing in Punjab. All others, in various States need to set up Response Teams to SHADOW the key MPs and MLAs of the local ruling coalitions and use PUBLICITY and local PROTESTS to checkmate their shenigans and chicanery. E.g. in Maharashtra the AAP-Karyakarta took up OpenSpaces, gifting of land, farmer issues, health care to sensitise failures of the past and present govt. Similar examples will be there in other States. These must be multiplied many fold to highlight #AamAadmi issues.

P.A.T.D.I. has always been our platform. So we need to use JanSabhas to get Citizens to take Part and seek Accountability from the key MPs and MLAs. A need for Transperency in budgetary spends and in project selection must be prodded in Citizens and a sense of Decentralization and Integrity must be expectation from the local Govt. Failures must be highlighted at EVERY OPPORTUNITY aggressivly in #AAP style. This is the ONLY long term security of our feudal-democracy.  Citizen suggested apt solutions must be broadcast to the ElectedReps.

Better schooling with Ethics, Morality and Integrity as foundation and Skilling for jobs in Junior and Senior collages is a must. The recent unrest in educational institutions comes from certainty that decent progressive jobs are out of reach and escape to foreign lands is not feasible. We cannot export our TalentedYouth yet freely import foreign ConsumerProducts.

Youth can see only closed doors and no future in FREE INDIA, what must they do, roam the streets and steal bananas? They therefore protest and seek to destroy existing setup without having any working alternative in place. Youth need mentoring and channeling of their frustration. #AAP needs to work on this in all Univ. AAP-Mumbai had arranged debates on current issues years ago and got good response from students and faculty. This needs to be the norm for building grass root politics and 'evolvong opinion' of the constructive kind.  This will ensure that our nation moves from feudalism to swaraj democracy.

Recycling Rainwater

It is now widely accepted that Mumbai and Maharashtra, key regions of Bharat-India, are subject to erratic weather Iincluding uncertain 'monsoon' during June-Sept. each year.  The current @MahaBJP CM @Dev_Fadnavis, has accepted this as reported in: The Economic Times, Mumbai, 20151028, p-4, wherein he states "... days of rainfall are becoming fewer with huge dry spells. Agriculture is not sustainable anymore ..." while explaining his new initiative called JalyuktShivar in 6,200 villages of #Maha.

Infact, the 120 million population of Maharashtra are also aware that water resouces via monsoon, are now unpredictable. Then "ground water charging" during monsoon is most CRITICAL.

Mumbai and Suburbs get ~2100mm rain over 450sqKm (1sqKm = 1million sq.Meters), of city land area, other than the traditional Lakes drainage zone. Almost all is run off into the sea via larger and larger StormWaterDrains, since Mumbai is mostly paved with concrete or bitumen.  The Lakes are unable to supply city with water for more than 200 days.

If 50% rain is saved by 'ground water charging' and diverting thru canals and city wide pipe grid, Mumbai would save: (0.50×2.1×450 million cubic meters = ) 470 Billion Liters (1cubic meter = 1,000 Liters). This is assured water supply for over 125 days for Mumbai (since currently Mumbai recieves 3.75 billion Liters of precious Lakes water per day), without using Lakes water supply. Navi Mumbai and Thane Dist are not included in these calculations. Bore wells will provide water year round, to those plots where ground water charging is done. Simple ActivatedCharcoalFilteration columns will give decent water for bathing and washing. The MCGM can continue to supply drinking water, but at much higher cost and in highly reduced quantity.  This alone will extend the Lakes supply of precious water by many months, totalling probably ~250 days.

Each Institution, Building, Housing Society, Entity using/owning/leasing city real estate must be given target to charge the ground in their plot or divert thru pipes to a city pipe grid, a certain target volume of water. Failure should attract punitive water wastage tax. A time line of two years be given and MCGM must aid, inspect and set up water collection pipe grid across city.

When this is done, the excess Lakes water can be diverted to the drought areas of Maha to provide for Citizens there. Similar works can be commenced in the other Nine Smart Cities of Maharashtra.

This could be the one single project of LOW COST, improving and securing the lives of 12Crore Maharashtrians. Obviously, it beats all infrastructur projects, since humans cannot survive without water. Failure of water security would lead to mass immigarion to the South and Maha would lose its prime position in my #Bharat. 

Performance Card for MPs, MLAs, Corporators, Zilla Representatives, all elected for public bodies.

1.  Attendance, min. 75% rule for full year, failing which call for referendum at own cost, in own Constituency. A simple majority to retain seat, rejection means bye-election. Payment will be 25% only for the year under question with zero perks. Attendance means for over 75% of the day, all attendance as per Parliament records.

2.  Jan Sabhas in own Constituency, at least six times in a year, with MoM in public domain, each of min. 4 hour duration, with recording of citizen feedback and sharing of national-state-local information. Failure will mean withdrawal of all perks for the year and only 25% payment for the year under study.

3.  LAD funds spending to be discussed in public meeting, with recording of MoM, same as para-2 above. At least 50% spending will be with citizen approval and payments to be released only with citizen approval, with simple majority during public meeting, after presentation of independant body report.

4.  Disruption, abuse and mis-behaviour during Sabha session will mean full deduction of pay and perks for one month. Repeatative mis-behaviour will mean cut in pay and perks for a month for each incident. Suspension will mean withdrawal of pay and perks for six months for each incident.

5.  Meaningful participation (recording of remarks), a must for 25% debates and discussions. Failure will mean referendum as per para-1 above.

6.  Absention in voting or walkout for more than 50% issues, will attract withdrawal of perks and 50% cut in pay for the period on monthly basis.

7.  Failure to raise citizen issues with Party and persuing same will mean withdrawal of perks on proportionate basis. MoM will be used to determine issues raised, which must be documented with clarity by citizen. All this process to be in public domain.

8.  Must face acceptance referendums in own Constituency at own cost, after half term. A simple majority will allow Representative to continue in office, failure will mean bye-election.

9.  Must set up domain experts group of 5 members for consultation, from registered citizen bodies for development and issues in Constituency.  Only reimburesment of pocket expenses to be made out of own funds. This expert group to be reconstituted for each year with new faces.

ABOUT HAVING A STAND IN LIFE.

1.     As children,we follow our parents and also the values they hold and teach us. As adolescents, we begin to experience life,values and trends of the times in which we are living, as different from those our parents and their parents lived.
2.    As we mature we get internally educated within our core to make a conscious difference between desires we have and values of life we hold.
3.    How much mature we are, becomes evident to the extent that we go beyond our sensory desires to follow the values of life we hold.
4.    This is  because our consciousness tells us clearly that desires fulfill our passion but  values we hold give meaning to our life.The meaning of life is characterized by understanding what difference it will make to my life and to the lives of people I am related to, whether I live,I die or was not born at all.
5.    That is the real difference between academic literacy and internal literacy. It is an inner revelation when we  understand that we are internally illiterate when we do not hold any values of life,when we do not know who we are and, in essence,we do not know what we stand for in life.
6.    To have a stand in life is to define our values of life- whether we stand for liberty or coercion,for progressive life or regressive one, for being bound to inflexible belief or to sound rationale, to follow world of compulsions or ground of freedom for ourselves and others.
7.     In essence, we stand for what gives meaning and substance to our existence, not for what drives us towards meaninglessness and obselscence in life.
8.     If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.
9.    If you stand for something, you will have people for you and people against you. But if you stand for nothing, you will have nobody for you and nobody against you.
10.    To the parents that raised children to take stands where they must, I salute. And to those standing in the cold and putting themselves in the gap for the future of our planet, I say, you are great.

Shanti Vistaar - शांती विस्तार

There is a country called ShantiDesh which has a neighbour called Aakramistan. Their identities and ideology being vastly different, they were always in a conflict situation, for decades. Fact is that population of ShantiDesh was larger than Aakramistan and its national economy even larger. However, the former had spent vast sums in building defence, border fencing, mutual talks, training troops to keep a check on the infiltration and aggression by bad elements from Aakramistan. This money could have improved QualityOfLife for its population in basic ways. 

After much thought and calculations, with back up plans in place, a new method is tried out. Why should ShantiDesh citizens keep defending and blocking infiltration by anti-human elements from Aakramistan? Keeping population dividend in mind, why not the adventurous and depressed citizens of ShantiDesh instead, infiltrate the nation of Aakramistan? The ShantiDesh-NGOs offered funds, equipment to its such citizens to move into Aakramistan. Insurenace plans were offered to those who accepted the challenge. 

The border fencing was pulled down, the troops withdrawn to back up position, and advocacy among many millions of adventurous/depressed citizens, worked wonders at the border. Some died, there was tremendous upheavel, minor warfare, but millions made it into the unhappy land of Aakramistan. As more moved in, the basic ideology of Akramistan underwent change and the bad elements were isolated and killed or kicked out. A new chapter of society developed in Aakramistan, which abjurs ideology as prime mover and embraces humanity as main plank. The whole balance changed. 

The plan is basically to fight them, then join them and change them. Why keep withdrawing and accomodating the bad when the larger good can force a major change. How many citizens of ShantiDesh could Aakramistan people kill or push back? The basic peace loving human life can and must overpower the distructive forces, for meaningful evolution of Humankind. For those who are wondering which nation today is ShantiDesh, you will be astounded. Many may be tempted to look in SouthAsia, but the original story is of NorthAmerica, however the principle is the same here, waiting to happen again.
